In Europe, Italy is the country with the fastest growing pharmaceutical export rate in the last 10 years (+ 117%), has the primacy as manufacturing production value (€ 1,872 M) and ranks second for the number of manufacturing companies of pharmaceutical products and preparations.

Italian biotechnology companies, 80% of which are SMEs, lead innovation with investments of 1.7 billion euros per year in research and development, while the medical devices sector generates exports with an added value of 16.5 billion Euro.

The event

The picture shows how the Italian scenario of innovation in Life Sciences is “sparkling”, full of opportunities and potential successful synergies among research and industry players.

For this reason Bio4Dreams, in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Janssen Italia, Illumina Accelerator and Federated Innovation @MIND | Life Science & Healthcare thematic area, organizes the workshop “Exploring opportunities in the Italian Landscape of Innovation”.

Representatives from the main Italian centers of excellence in the field, startups, biotech companies as well as national and international pharma/life science industries will be involved.

The event will take place live (by invitation) and online on April 21^st 2022 at the MIND – Milano Innovation District.
